Hai V. On

Hai On is a 08.03.09 hai-bwregistered architect with a portfolio as diverse as his life experience. Born in Viet Nam in 1964, Hai’s family was airlifted to safety by US Marines during the fall of Saigon in 1975, and emigrated to the United States shortly thereafter, taking root in the states of Indiana then Texas. After receiving his architectural degree from Texas A&M University, Hai spent 12 years in Alaska working with Livingston Slone and KPB Architects. During this time, Hai’s design for the Museum of the Aleutians earned an AIA Honor award for design excellence. Now residing on the Big Island of Hawaii, Hai is the Principal of Fins Architecture, LLC, a progressive design firm specializing in residential and small commercial projects that foster sustainability and environmental stewardship. Like NorthForm, Hai believes architecture is inextricably linked with place, and his ability to identify, distill, and integrate his designs with place have earned recognition from a variety of sources. Working in collaboration with NorthForm, Hai provides creative assistance and concept solution development during the early stages of design driven projects.
